Deep rest facilitates healthful digestion, sleep, immune function, muscular repair, and even emotional processing. Touch is one of the most powerful ways to access your own internal healing capabilities. Join Julie and Haley for a deeply relaxing, stress-melting experience that combines restful Restorative yoga and delightful, gentle Thai massage. Rest in the most comfortable positions possible supported by plenty of props, and then go deep into the healing experience of a nervous system calmed and supported by hands-on work from both Haley and Julie. This workshop makes a wonderful holiday gift you can share with the one you love!

Everyone is welcome to this gentle practice; no particular experience or level of ability is required other than being able to sit and lie down on the ground. Just let us know if you are working with any issues.

To ensure everyone gets lots of attention in this workshop, we are limiting the registration to 10 people. This workshop tends to sell out quickly, please reserve your spot early.

Julie Peters, E-RYT 500, MA is a writer, yoga teacher, and co-owner of Ocean and Crow Yoga. Her work largely focuses on how yoga can help us live our lives better and find our own ways of healing ourselves. Hands-on assists, healing touch, and personalized prop placement within Restorative practices have become some of her most powerful tools in helping her students and clients access connection to their own bodies and the many-layered benefits of a yoga practice. She teaches regular Restorative yoga and Yoga to Heal the Nervous System classes at Ocean and Crow Yoga.

Haley Plaa, RYT has been dedicated to movement since she was a young child. Mindful movement became a part of her daily life in 2008 while she studied for her B.A. at the University of Victoria. Since then she has trained in hatha, moksha, vinyasa, yin, trauma sensitive yoga and thai massage. As a teacher she guides from a collection of all of her trainings, holding space with warmth, respect and knowledge.
