Move, Breathe, Flow, Heal: Vinyasa with Moshe

Yoga can be used as a powerful tool for restoring balance and well-being. In this class with Moshe, an Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga teacher specializing in yoga therapy, we explore how yoga practice can be modified to facilitate healing. In each class we focus on a subject, from physical issues to mental challenges. We explore breathing techniques and alignment modifications addressing this topic and move in a vinyasa flow designed to support healing. We will explore a fluid, vinyasa-style practice, allowing the body to rebalance itself and the mind to settle down. We move from challenging, energetic postures to slow, extended stretches, eventually winding down to stillness. The classes are open to practitioners of all levels, and variations will be offered for gentler or more challenging postures. Hands-on assists and adjustments are offered.

Moshe was born and raised in Israel. He started practicing Yoga in New York in 2003, following an injury. Though his first practice was in Anusara, he has since practiced many different styles, ultimately undergoing teacher training in the Ashtanga-Vinyasa tradition in Tel-Aviv in 2014.

Having experienced first-hand the efficacy of Yoga in treatment, Moshe chose to pursue further education in yoga therapy at the Vancouver School of Yoga, from which he graduated in January 2018.

​Moshe currently lives in Vancouver, BC with his partner, a dog and two cats (don't ask). When not practicing or teaching yoga, he works as a software engineer.
