Sweet and Steady Flow with Haley (March/April 2018)

CAD$21 per classPurchase required to enroll

In this accessible flow class we will challenge the body with intentional, dynamic movements. This practice will increase strength in the body while offering a pause for the mind as we focus with purpose and direction on our breath. Each week we will explore a sequence leading up to a challenge pose such as a backbend or arm balance where you’ll be encouraged (but never pressured!) to try with plenty of space to fall. Most of all, we’ll move and groove with chill soulful beats to flow to. Let the music and the vibrations of your breath guide you through this mindful slow dance with the breath.

This class will include weight bearing on the hands, twists, backbends, forward folds, and possibly gentle inversions. Expect some hands-on support. Beginners are welcome in this all-levels class.

Drop in for $21 or register for the full course:

Sundays, 10:30-11:30am.

Haley has been dedicated to movement since she was a young child. From moving freely and intuitively with her siblings in their family home to moving with precision and dedication in competitive dance on stage, the practice has laid a deep foundation within her bones. Mindful movement became a part of her daily life in 2008 while she studied for her B.A. at the University of Victoria. Since then she has trained in hatha, moksha, vinyasa, yin, trauma sensitive yoga and thai massage. As a teacher she guides from a collection of all of her trainings, holding space with warmth, respect and knowledge.
