Virtual Hatha: Refresh and Calm with Katie Blecker ZOOM STUDIO

CAD$18.90 per classPurchase required to enroll

Treat yourself to a midday reset. This class is designed to leave you feeling grounded, calm, and refreshed for the rest of the day ahead. Each week we will explore a gentle yoga practice suitable to beginners or anyone who wants to slow down and take some time to reconnect to body and breath. The majority of the class will be spent close to the ground, but occasionally we will explore some standing/balancing postures as well. We’ll combine a mixture of stretching, strengthening, and relaxing in each session - all with the aim of finding ease in the body and peace of mind.

This calm and therapeutic class is appropriate for all levels of experience or those with physical concerns, as long as you’re comfortable with sitting and/or laying on the floor. Please let Katie know before the start of class if there are any special considerations needed for your practice.

This class is online, so check with your health practitioner before you start class to ensure it's safe for you to do so. Do not push yourself or do anything that causes pain. You will be able to ask your teacher questions and let them know about injuries before class.

Katie Blecker, RYT-550, offers yoga and meditation as accessible tools for cultivating connection, embodiment, and ease in everyday life. In working personally with multiple injuries and illness, Katie has experienced firsthand how physical yoga postures and movement practices can either help or hinder certain conditions, depending on the approach. Through trial and error, study, and working with diverse populations, she has developed an exploratory and mindful approach to yoga that prioritizes personal agency, curiosity, and self-awareness. Katie facilitates practices of yin, hatha, restorative, chair yoga, and meditation. Her classes generally include lots of props, options and variations, and a sustainable approach to physical practice. Katie offers group classes and private 1:1 sessions.
