Slow and Steady: Gentle Flow with Moshe (8 classes, Jan-Feb 2019)

In this class we slow things down: moving through various sequences, we will at times slow down and workshop elements of the flow. The class will allow us to discover which elements of the yoga practice work best for us individually, to help us in our challenges and goals.

The class will include breathing techniques and alignment modifications addressing specific themes. We will explore some challenging, energizing postures as well as slow, extended stretches, eventually winding down to stillness.

The classes are open to practitioners of all levels, and variations will be offered for gentler or more challenging postures. Hands-on assists and adjustments will be offered.

Moshe was born and raised in Israel. He started practicing Yoga in New York in 2003, following an injury. Though his first practice was in Anusara, he has since practiced many different styles, ultimately undergoing teacher training in the Ashtanga-Vinyasa tradition in Tel-Aviv in 2014.

Having experienced first-hand the efficacy of Yoga in treatment, Moshe chose to pursue further education in yoga therapy at the Vancouver School of Yoga, from which he graduated in January 2018.

Moshe currently lives in Vancouver, BC with his partner, a dog and two cats (don't ask). When not practicing or teaching yoga, he works as a software engineer.
