Yin/Yang Yoga: Move, Breathe, Stretch with Haley (8 classes, Summer 2019)

Wring out the kinks in your body with intuitive, thoughtful movement. In the first part of this class, we will move through strong postures to warm and strengthen the body, and then balance out in the second part of the class with soft, relaxing, supported, long-held stretches. This class is designed to help you move stress out so that when you slow down and come towards the ground, you will be able to melt into your body fully. It’s the perfect balance of strength and surrender.

This class will include downward dog, active twists, backbends, and forward folds, as well as long-held Yin postures on the floor supported with props. All levels welcome, including beginners. Expect some hands-on support.

Mondays, 7:45-9:00pm

8 classes, June 24th-August 26th. No class July 1st or August 5th. $136+tax before June 15th.

*Please note that we allow pro-rating for the 11 week summer session. You may deduct a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three from your summer registration but you must email Julie (oceanandcrow@gmail.com) with the dates you are away before June 15th in order to do this. No pro-rating after June 15th.

*Registration for the full class comes with one Bonus Class that may be used before the end of the session for any other class on the schedule that allows drop-ins or to bring a friend to class (space permitting; please enroll online before class). You may make up two missed classes within your session (space permitting).

*Please note that if you have enrolled in a class and are not present five minutes before the class, we may give your spot away.

Haley has been dedicated to movement since she was a young child. From moving freely and intuitively with her siblings in their family home to moving with precision and dedication in competitive dance on stage, the practice has laid a deep foundation within her bones. Mindful movement became a part of her daily life in 2008 while she studied for her B.A. at the University of Victoria. Since then she has trained in hatha, moksha, vinyasa, yin, trauma sensitive yoga and thai massage. As a teacher she guides from a collection of all of her trainings, holding space with warmth, respect and knowledge.

Refunds may be issued with a $10 processing fee before June 15th. No refunds will be issued after June 15th.
