Feel Good Yoga with Julie (11 classes, Summer 2019)

In this chilled-out all-levels class, we will gently stretch out our shoulders, backs, and hips, gently strengthen supportive muscles in the body, take deep breaths, slow down, and relax. The point of this class is to feel good, so we’ll sample from a range of different movement practices to ease our creaky joints and get our pep back in our step. We’ll do some standing, seated, and lying down poses with minimal weight bearing on the arms. Small class sizes ensure personal attention so if you’re working with injuries or any special concerns we will figure out how to modify so the practice works for you. Pregnant people are welcome as are brand-new beginners and anyone else who wants to take a break on a Tuesday to feel good.

*July 16th will be taught by Alex Hughes and August 13th will be taught by Katie Blecker

*Please note that we allow pro-rating for the 11 week summer session. You may deduct a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three from your summer registration but you must email Julie (oceanandcrow@gmail.com) with the dates you are away before June 15th in order to do this. No pro-rating after June 15th.

*Registration for the full class comes with one Bonus Class that may be used before the end of the session for any other class on the schedule that allows drop-ins or to bring a friend to class (space permitting; please enroll online before class). You may make up two missed classes within your session (space permitting).

*Please note that if you have enrolled in a class and are not present five minutes before the class, we may give your spot away.

Julie Peters (MA, E-RYT 500) has been practising yoga for over 20 years and runs Ocean and Crow Yoga with her mom, Jane. She is trained in Flow, Restorative, and Yin yoga with training in pre- and post-natal.
