Feel Good Flow: Moving Meditation with Julie (11 classes, Summer 2019)

In this all-levels class, we focus on the breath as the primary source of movement in the body. We will move with our breath dynamically but gently, exploring standing postures and other shapes that we can move into and out of with the rhythm of a conscious breath. We will explore a bit of challenge, but without too much weight bearing on the hands and arms (minimal downward dog). Towards the end of class, we will make our way down to the floor for longer held hip stretches, forward folds, and time for reflection.

This class is appropriate for beginners and those working with injuries and issues that would like to move dynamically, but with a gentler intention. This flow-based class is not ideal for vertigo/dizziness. Pregnancy is fine. With limited class size and lots of personal attention for everyone who attends, this class will be tailored to the students who register.

Julie may offer some hands-on assists in this practice.

*Please note that we allow pro-rating for the 11 week summer session. You may deduct a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of three from your summer registration but you must email Julie (oceanandcrow@gmail.com) with the dates you are away before June 15th in order to do this. No pro-rating after June 15th.

*Registration for the full class comes with one Bonus Class that may be used before the end of the session for any other class on the schedule that allows drop-ins or to bring a friend to class (space permitting; please enroll online before class). You may make up two missed classes within your session (space permitting).

*Please note that if you have enrolled in a class and are not present five minutes before the class, we may give your spot away.

Julie Peters, MA, E-RYT 500, has been practising yoga for over 20 years.
